APPLICATION SPECIALIST - INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES

Carel USA has an immediate full-time opening for a Application Specialist - Innovative Technologies.

The candidate will provide application support for energy-efficient control systems that are promoted in the
HVAC, Commercial Refrigeration and Retail markets by performing the following key duties:

  • Provides insight and support on thermodynamics and compressor envelope management to the sales force and customers.
  • Coaches the sales force with technical know-how and expertise on refrigeration circuit and components.
  • Assists in formulating product marketing strategies and objectives.
  • Acts as a liaison with the overseas R&D group to create a domestic Competence Center for cross-market products.
  • Creates technical papers and case studies.
  • Engages in comparative research of competitive types of technologies, inclusive of hands-on product tests.
  • Assists customers in applying company’s technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the candidate must have a thorough understanding of refrigeration systems.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical degree with HVAC/R experience; any laboratory work is a plus. Computer literacy required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: The candidate must be fluent in English.
REASONING ABILITY: High degree of technical aptitude.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: HVAC/R, or ASHRAE certifications / registrations a plus.
TRAVEL: 30% travel ability outside the local area.

AIR CONDITIONING REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - LOS ANGELES AREA

CAREL USA has an immediate full time opening for a Regional Sales Manager in the Los Angeles area in our OEM Controls business units.  

SUMMARY
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) position is responsible for promoting air conditioning control products to new and existing HVAC accounts (OEMs, System Integrator, etc.). This is a technical sales position, with the ideal candidate having a high degree of technical knowledge in the HVAC or Building Automation industries. Experience with HVAC systems and/or building automation controls a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES .

  • Promotes CAREL air conditioning controls products to commercial, industrial, and other HVAC companies (OEM, system integrator, & panel builder sales).
  • Able to communicate with all levels within an organization including- C-level, Engineering, Purchasing, Service, etc.
  • Review specifications, sequence of operations, and other customer provided documentation to develop and prepare proposals and quotations.
  • Provide product training to customers.
  • Provide sales/technical support to local OEMs and system integrators.
  • Prepare visit reports and report back to National Sales Manager.
  • Gather information to determine market characteristics, perform market-share analysis and sales analysis on given territory.
  • Assist in analysis of present and potential markets for new or existing products or services.
  • Assist in planning marketing strategies and objectives.
  • Support with various marketing activities including direct mail, letters, catalogs, and trade shows.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed or assigned by the National Sales Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each ESSENTIAL DUTY satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  
EDUCATION – Engineering level degree or 4 yr technical degree ( BSME or BSEE). Computer literacy required. High degree of technical aptitude a must.
LANGUAGE SKILLS - Good verbal and written skills sufficient for technical sales and letter writing.
REASONING SKILLS - High degree of technical aptitude.
EXPERIENCE - Any HVAC experience a plus. Any controls and communication protocol experience a plus.

HUMIDIFICATION REGIONAL SALES MANAGER - MANHEIM, PA

CAREL USA has an immediate full time opening for a Regional Sales Manager Humidification business unit.  

SUMMARY
Candidate promotes humidification/cooling products by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The candidate will make sales visits to Design Builders, Engineers, Contractors, Institutions, End Users , Installers, Commercial Manufacturing, Industrial Plants, Museums and or any facilities or location where the specification and use of Carel humidification/cooling products is possible.

The candidate will be responsible for documenting all visitations as outlined above and shall assist in planning and participating in trade shows, mailing and telephone marketing campaigns as directed by the National Sales Manager – Humidification Group.

The candidate will coordinate communications between the Carel Representatives and the Carel Sales and Application Support Staff.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the candidate must demonstrate outstanding communication skills (both oral and written) and be capable of planning targeted sales calls in an organized and effective manner. The candidate must be capable of identifying target users of the Carel humidification product lines and must be able to demonstrate a basic working knowledge of humidification psychrometric and HVAC related systems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE The candidate must possess Business Development/Sales Lead Development/Territory Manager experience in either a technical, medical or commercial industry.

Competencies in all of the following Microsoft products: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Publisher, Outlook. HVAC experience a major plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS The candidate must be fluent in English. Spanish as a second language would be an asset.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Sales and Marketing Level is required.
